Also Known As: Typhidot Rapid IgM and IgG Test

Purpose:

• To detect antibodies against Salmonella typhi, the bacterium causing typhoid fever

When to Get This Test Done:

• symptoms of typhoid fever, such as high fever, headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, weight loss, or skin rashes

• After traveling to areas where typhoid fever is prevalent

• After contact with individuals diagnosed with typhoid fever

Pre-Test Information:

• No fasting required

• No special preparation needed

Report Delivery Time:

• Reports available on the same day within 12 hours after sample collection
