What is the purpose of this test?
The Urine Routine Examination Test is performed to assess several components of a urine sample including gross examination, chemical analysis, and microscopic examination. It is used to screen for urinary tract infections (UTIs), kidney and liver problems, and diabetes.
When does one need to get this test done?
When experiencing symptoms suggestive of a UTI such as abdominal pain, back pain, painful or frequent urination, and blood in the urine.
As part of routine health check-ups to monitor kidney function and overall urinary tract health.
Pre test information:
Fasting is not required.
