What is the Purpose of this Test?

• To extract cells from a suspicious mass for microscopic examination.
• To diagnose inflammatory conditions and cancer.

When Does One Need to Get This Test Done?

• When there is a suspicious mass in the breast, thyroid, lymph nodes, liver, lung, etc.
• For diagnosing unexplained lumps or swellings.
• To check the progress of existing tumor treatment.

Pre-Test Information:

• No special preparation required.
• Inform the doctor about any medications or medical conditions.

Report Delivery TAT:

• Reports are  delivered within 2-3 days.

• Small tissue or fluid sample obtained using a fine needle.
