Purpose:
Measures the level of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) in the blood
Evaluates hormonal balance, fertility issues, and puberty timing
When to Get This Test Done:
For women: Preferred on day 2 or 3 of the menstrual cycle
For men: Can be done at any time
Recommended for symptoms like irregular periods, difficulty getting pregnant, and signs of low testosterone
Pre-Test Information:
