• To detect the presence of rheumatoid factor antibodies in the blood.

When does one need to get this test done?

• If you show signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, such as joint pain, warmth, swelling, morning stiffness, or nodules under the skin.

• To diagnose autoimmune diseases like systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) or Sjogren’s syndrome.

• To determine the severity of rheumatoid arthritis.
